So the basics, my names Edd and i enjoy water.
As a kid I was keen on fishing, moved on to surfing did some diving, followed by kayaking and a bit of paddle boarding. now I’m getting on in years the plan is to sail…..well eventually, first off I need to refurbish the 1970s 27 foot snapdragon I bought between COVID lockdowns here in the southwest of England.
At this point I’m going to point out I’m not a ‘blogger’ I’m not a sailor I’m not even very good at DIY, this site is just a record of what I’m doing, it’s certainly not a professional guide as I’m literally making it up as I go along through trial and error….lots of error.
side note, I’ll be signing off as ‘sailor Fairfax’, the name should you wonder which I’m sure you haven’t is my pornstar name. You know the social media thing of taking your first pets name and the first street you lived in. Not a great pornstar name I realise but fitting for a wannabe sailor I thought. It was that or Tractor Jack from the Longest Johns song ‘the last Bristolian pirate’, a name I may still adopt later and a song well worth checking out if you like a good shanty.
